What is ATE?
ATE is a tourism trade show that brings Australian tourism businesses together with airlines, tourism wholesalers and retailers from around the world. It provides a forum for Australian tourism Sellers to showcase their products, meet with overseas contacts and negotiate deals. It also provides international travel Buyers an opportunity to experience Australia first-hand.
International buyers are selected by Tourism Australia to ensure the most influential people meet with Australian tourism businesses. ATE is open to Australian travel exhibitors only and represents a unique opportunity for attendees to increase their share of the inbound travel market.

What’s new for ATE 2007?
ATE will again be divided into two modules over seven days and in response to the seller and buyer feedback a number of changes have been made to the event format for 2007. These changes have been introduced to improve business opportunities for buyers and sellers at the event.
Event Format
- A mix of sit down and stand up lunches in both modules – encompassing research and anecdotal feedback in favour of both lunch options, the Brisbane venue allows us the opportunity to have the best of both worlds;
- An official ATE Welcome at the start of the Eastern module.
Technology
- The new Trade Events Online (TEO3) website, launched just in time for ATE 2007 applications, will see a number of improvements to the preferencing and appointments & messaging components, as well as an overall revamp and simplification of the application process. Check out our great new features!
- The new scheduling system proved very popular in 2006 by reducing the walking time for buyers yet still providing quality appointments.
Help Guides
- A new help guide for first time sellers and also more experienced users of the system – see how you can make the most out of your ATE application! Click here to view the help guide.
Event format
