Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) 2010 - Eastern Module
(29 May 10 - 31 May 10)

What's new!

What’s for ATE 2010?

Events and Functions

  • The format of the Eastern Welcome function on Saturday 29 May will change to become a Welcome Happy Hour held on the tradeshow floor. This will give delegates free time in the evening to explore the city of Adelaide.  Eastern delegate participation fees have been reduced to reflect this change.

  • The Western Farewell function on Friday 4 June will be held offsite, commencing at 8pm. This will allow delegates the opportunity to freshen up following the conclusion of  trade show appointments.

NatureTheme
Nature is the theme for ATE 2010. Australia’s vast wilderness, ancient landscapes and natural beauty are best described by their colours: the red sandy deserts, the green rainforests, the white untouched beaches and the rich blue oceans. The Experience Seeker can easily access and learn about distinctive plants and intriguing wildlife that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Tourism Australia has compiled a Nature fast fact sheet - to view, please click here

Booth Space
With the exception of hotel sponsors, all Western module first time seller exhibitors will be allocated a share booth. Custom booths and display vehicles are available to exhibitors attending both the Eastern and Western module of ATE. Exhibitors must include any special requirements for booth layouts including corner booths in the space options comments section of their application. Sellers are reminded that final booth allocations are subject to space availability and at Tourism Australia’s discretion.

Appointment Schedule Allocations
To provide sellers with most appropriate appointment schedule for ATE, allocation of schedule types will be finalised following the conclusion of buyer preferencing based on the meeting requests for the current year. This is also applicable for first time sellers.

At the time of acceptance, all eastern sellers will be offered a half appointment schedule and all western sellers a one third appointment schedule (exception is for sellers requesting a no appointment schedule). Sellers requesting a greater appointment schedule will be assessed based on the buyer demand during preferencing and where applicable will be allocated an appropriate appointment schedule on Tuesday 6 April 2010.

Invoicing for appointment schedules will take place during the second round and will reflect the final allocated appointment schedule.

Eastern Appointment Schedules
In order to maximise buyer participation at ATE, Eastern module appointment schedule types have revised to standard, half and no appointment schedules. There is no change to  the appointment schedule types for the Western module.

Function Passes
Day passes provide access to the trade show only. Any day pass delegate wanting to attend the Eastern Farewell/Western Welcome function will need to purchase a Function pass to gain entry to this event.
