No appointment schedule

Not all companies find it beneficial to have pre-scheduled appointments at ATE. An appointment schedule does not have to be selected as part of your participation. You might prefer to source your own appointments with buyers prior to and at the event. Companies selecting no appointment schedule, will still have access to buyers' list prior to ATE by downloading a copy of the buyer preference list from the website. Please note that no contact details are included. Sellers on a 'no appointment schedule' will still be able to participate in the Online Messaging feature.

The 'no appointment schedule' option is available to all sellers. However, Tourism Australia reserves the right to restrict the number of companies opting not to take an appointment schedule to less than 5% of the total number of companies accepted to attend the event.

Allocation of Appointment Schedules
Following the completion of preferencing when the appointment schedule allocation process will take place, some appointment schedule allocations will be changed based on the allocation method outlined below and therefore, may be different from original requests.

The required meeting requests to receive a particular appointment schedule are relative to the number necessary to satisfy this schedule type. The demand needs to demonstrate that a reduced type of appointment schedule would be insufficient for this schedule type. Eg Western standard appointment schedule has 84 and a western half appointment schedule has 42 appointments. Therefore every seller wanting a standard appointment schedule will require a minimum of 43 buyer meeting requests.

In all cases Tourism Australia will work to maximise the number of sellers on a standard appointment schedules, reflecting a more favourable outcome for sellers close to this level of demand.

Therefore a company that has received low buyer meeting requests may have their appointment schedule downgraded from their original request.

The allocation of a one third or half schedule does not limit an organisation's potential to seek additional appointments with buyers prior to or during the event. The difference is that the organisation will be investing in a more realistic appointment schedule suited for this event.

Please refer to the ATE Event Policies for further information.
