Selection criteria and event policy
To be accepted as a participant at this event, you must provide Tourism Australia with a submission, which demonstrates that you meet the appropriate selection criteria. You must also adhere to the stated event policy for the event. The selection criteria and event policy can be reviewed at www.tradeevents.australia.com, and with the terms and conditions of participation, govern your participation in this event.


Your privacy
Tourism Australia considers the responsible use of personal information to be of vital importance. Tourism Australia is committed to respecting your privacy. However, we do need information from you when you register for events. This information may include your name, home or business address and e-mail address. Once Tourism Australia receives this information from you it is kept in a secure environment. The information collected in your event application is for the purpose of event registrations and event management and will only be shared with other organisations with a similar purpose to our own, such as state tourist authorities, other event participants and event contractors, for the purpose of event management.

To enable the event to function in the best interests of both buyers and sellers, you agree that the information you provide to us may be distributed to other event related organisations for the purposes of managing a successful event. In addition, Tourism Australia may use your personal information to contact you in the future for purposes relating to the event. By applying to attend this event you agree to provide consent for Tourism Australia to contact you for the purposes of ensuring a successful event.

Privacy of other participants
Tourism Australia may provide you with information relating to other event participants. This information is confidential and is provided to you for the purposes of the event only. The information provided to you by Tourism Australia may be copyrighted and cannot be provided to a third party without the consent of Tourism Australia and any individuals whose information is included.


Insurance and liability issues
A company applying to exhibit at a Tourism Australia Trade Event must have public liability insurance to a minimum of $5,000,000. Evidence of the following information must be provided within the company’s online application to Tourism Australia:

  • Name of policy provider
  • Policy number
  • Policy expiry date
  • The policy territorial limits.

Participants are reminded that it is their responsibility to arrange insurance including public & product liability, workers compensation and property insurance.

All participants are reminded that Tourism Australia DOES NOT:

  • Accept responsibility or liability for any loss suffered by participants or visitors
  • Provide or arrange for any insurance for, or on behalf, of participants or visitors
  • Provide any indemnity for loss or injury suffered by participants or visitors.


Security
Security services will be provided for the event. However all participants are advised that all valuables should not be left unattended or unsecured at any time, as Tourism Australia accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by participants or visitors.


Indemnity
All participants must indemnify and keep indemnified Tourism Australia, its officers, employees, agents and contractors against all liability for death of or injury to persons or loss of or damage to property and all actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs and expenses whatsoever arising in respect of their participation in this event, unless such liability is caused by the negligence of Tourism Australia.


Cancellation policy
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. Cancellation fees apply regardless of whether the participation fee has been paid. Cancellation fees will apply in line with dates outlined in the application process.


Online privacy
Tourism Australia (TA) considers the responsible use of personal information to be of vital importance. TA is committed to respecting your privacy. In general, you can visit the Trade Events Website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. However, there are times when we may need information from you such as when you register for events, or when we need to send information to you. This information may include your name, home or business address and e-mail address. TA will advise you before we collect any personal information from you over the Internet. TA may share the information obtained with other organisations with a similar purpose to our own, such as State and Territory authorities. We will endeavour to limit the use of information to the purpose for which it was provided.

In general, on TA websites IP addresses (the Internet address of a computer) are logged to track a user's session while the user remains anonymous. We analyse this data for certain trends and statistics such as the parts of our Website that users are visiting, and the length of time spent. In general, we do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable to you. In those limited cases where session information is not anonymous, TA will provide notice of the practise and an opportunity for users to "opt out". When TA receives information about your session or about you, we may also use it for research or to improve our site and the services we offer you.

Some TA web pages use 'cookies', which are small files that may be placed on your hard disk for record-keeping purposes. A cookie helps us remember who you are and can make your subsequent visits to the web page simpler and more seamless. Your Internet browser can be set to notify you when a cookie is received, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.
