What’s for ATE 2012?
International Market Updates
Tourism Australia will be hosting four International Market Updates at ATE this year, giving Sellers the opportunity to hear Tourism Australia’s Regional General Managers and select Buyers discuss the latest market insights and trends, as well as participate in a Q&A session.
All Sellers are invited to attend the sessions, which will take place at the PCEC prior to the start of appointments. A light breakfast will also be provided to participants who RSVP.

To assist with the extremely high occupancy rates in Perth, ATE 2012 will be commencing one day earlier with appointments starting on Friday, instead of the usual Saturday start day. As a result the cross over night will be held on Sunday instead of Monday. Please keep this in mind when planning your attendance at ATE 2012.
ATE goes mobile
Tourism Australia has developed a new trade events mobile website and an iPhone/iPad application known as "Trade Events Mate" which will be available for download prior to ATE 2012 suitable for use onsite. Features include real time access to your appointment schedule, announcements, access to the floor plan, details on the delegate and organisation that you are meeting with including contacts and the ability to add notes to your schedule for future reference. As a result of this development, contact information provided in the delegates section of your application will now be made available to other delegates.
Australia's Outback will be the central theme of ATE 2012, demonstrating the destination’s strong and proud identification with our iconic outback landscapes, people and experiences. The outback has a remarkable history, rich with tales of bushrangers, Aboriginal dreaming, hero pioneers, gold rushes, farmers – even famous dogs and camel drivers. This history, and the pioneering Australians that have created it, has become a legendary part of our national identity. The ATE 2012 Outback theme will bring to life this identity and spirit, encouraging delegates to immerse themselves and their customers in a uniquely Australian outback experience.
We encourage all delegates to discover the diverse outback experiences Australia offers and to experience the ATE Trail activities which will be available again during ATE.
