In 2016, Indonesia was Australia’s 12th largest inbound market for visitor arrivals – an increase of 14% over 2015, 14th largest market for total visitor spend – an increase of 21% spend over 2015 and 14th for visitor nights – an increase of 13% over 2015.
Visitors from Indonesia generated $0.8 billion in total expenditure in 2016.

Malaysia
In 2016, Malaysia was Australia’s seventh largest inbound market for visitor arrivals – an increase of 14% over 2015, eighth largest market for total visitor spend – an increase of 9% over 2015 and 10th for visitor nights – an increase of 10% over 2015.
Visitors from Malaysia generated $1.3 billion in total expenditure in 2016.

Singapore
In 2016, Singapore was Australia’s fifth largest inbound market for visitor arrivals – an increase of 11% over 2015 and seventh largest market for total visitor spend – an increase of 4% over 2015 and 13th for visitor nights – decrease of 3% over 2015.
Visitors from Singapore generated $1.4 billion in total expenditure in 2016.
